Activities

Domaine de Pommayrac is exceptionally well located: only 12km from the Cité of CARCASSONNE, on the Spur of the Corbières and with a fine view over the valley of the AUDE.
The Domain is the ideal place to start your discovery of the Aude region and is situated close to most of the famous tourist attractions:

- The Cité of CARCASSONNE and the Canal du Midi 

- The Cathar Castles of  Quéribus, Peyrepertuse, Puylaurens,        Villerouge, ...

- The Abbeys of St HILAIRE, FONTFROIDE, LAGRASSE,                                                      FANGEAUX, St POLYCARPE

-  Rennes le Château and the hidden Treasure                                                                                 - But also the Gap of Cabrespine, the museum of dinosaurs , The House of Memories, ...

On the Domain itself you can do horse-riding (for total beginners as well as for experienced riders), play table tennis, pétanque or  rent a cross-country bike, go hiking etc.

You can go swimming: either at the river or in the public swimming pool (in Verzeille).

The sea is only 50 minutes away. You can relax in the sun on the beaches of LA FRANQUI, NARBONNE, ...  

You can always pay a visit to our sheep and lambs.

There are several paths   around the Domain for hiking, horse-riding or cross-country biking (maps are available at the Domain).
 

Departing from the Domain you can also participate in the following outdoor activities:

 

	- Golf - 18 holes, at the Domain d'AURIAC  - Canooing and kayak (hired by  the Domain) - Canyoning (Domain hires wetsuits, helmets) - Wildwater sports (raft, hydrospeed), - Safari underground, speleology (caving), escalade, parcours rando-branches, ...
